Mr. Lal Bahadur Oli, founder member of PeaceWin (an NGO working with children, women and youth) and sitting chairperson, former member of District Child Welfare Board (DCWB), founder of Radio Bajura (FM), founder of first Saving-Credit Cooperative of Bajura (Jeevanjyoti SC), founder of District Federation of Community Forestry Users Nepal (FECOFUN), founder of district branch of NGO Federation of Nepal, former central committee member of FECOFUN and NGO Federation and sitting vice-president of National Alliance for Human Rights and Social Justice Nepal (HR Alliance) was facilitated by Center Child Welfare Board (CCWB) with 20,101.00 cash and appreciation letter on the occasion of National Child Rights day, 14 September 2017 in day celebration programme held in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.
Mr. Oli has been long engagement in the sector of child rights, women rights and youth as a campaigner in Nepal. He had done visible contribution in forming and norming, nurturing the 9 CCWBs of Province no.7 (past Far-Western Region of Nepal). He was as board member from 1996 to 2009 of Bajura DCWB. He had contributed to institutionalize the board developing its plans, strategy, resource mobilization, coordination with child rights institutions.
Mr. Oli is the social change champion working for various fields. He already resigned from his permanent Government job (with in 4 years) and took volunteer teacher’s responsibility of his community at newly establishment Secondary School. He has long experience contributing in social development works.
Mrs. Asha Koirala, Minister of Women, Children and Social Welfare, Chairperson of Parliamentary Committee of Aging, Children and Women have facilitated him on the occasion.
